Welcome to Melancholy.

We're hard at work getting ready to open our doors, and we can't wait to join the other small businesses making Phoenix feel like home, serving you coffee and house-made baked goods.

A little about who we are and what we've got planned...

The name Melancholy to us is less sad and more nostalgic like the feeling of an old favorite song, looking out the window on a rainy day, or a place that already feels familiar the first time you walk in. That's the feeling we want you to have here: communal tables, good noise, a room built for gathering. Grab a seat next to someone new, catch up with an old friend, bring your laptop, or just linger over a second cup.

Community is really at the center of this for us. We're thinking of our neighbors first in the ingredients we source, the merchandise we carry, and the businesses we work alongside.

With that said, here is what we can share so far…

The coffee. We're serving Noble Coffee, whose focus on organically grown, ethically sourced beans lined up with what we care about from day one.

The milk. Every dairy-based drink is made with Alexandre Family Farm milk — organic, A2, and produced with real care for their animals and their footprint.

The goods. We’re working with Rogue Natural Foods to source as much as we can from Oregon companies.

The cups. Every cup in the café is hand-thrown by our neighbors at Northwest Ceramics Studio. We think you'll want to hold onto one.

The Frog. Huge shout out to Gianna McCardell for her work bringing our melancholy frog to life.

This is just the start. We'd love to grow this into a place with more local art on the walls, pop-up events, and partnerships with other small businesses we admire. Think bookstores, clothing shops, whoever wants to build something together. If that sounds like you, we'd genuinely love to hear from you.

Come by, say hi, and help us create something special.
